We Have Landed
Uncategorized
Hello to all of you! God is so good and blessed us with a safe journey to Rochester. We have arrived at our hotel and are getting ready to go meet the pastor of the church we are serving. A journey with two SUV-loads of girls, Richard, and their stuff, however, cannot possibly be complete without some kind of incident though, can it?
We pulled out of the church parking lot at a very early hour (ok, so not as early as the guys, but still early when some of us didn't get more than 3 hours of sleep) and headed to our first stop in Liberty, PA. Laila's father graciously invited us into his home for a delicious brunch consisting of pancakes, eggs, hash browns, OJ, sausage and real Pennsylvania maple syrup. It was really delicious and greatly appreciated!
We then headed on to our destination of Rochester. Along the way, Raven, Jacquie and Hannah found themselves on top of the Sequoia because the hamburger top had become unattached and they were trying to fix it. We couldn't figure out how to get it to latch, so we did the next best thing--Duct Tape. Not just any duct tape though, pretty teal-colored duct tape. When that was finished we got back in the car and drove on to Rochester with Jacquie driving the Sequoia and Hannah driving the big Ford. We arrived at 4:30pm and 2 rooms took naps and the 3rd room took showers.
Off we go to meet with the pastor!
Continue to pray for us!
