Winding Down, Gearing Up? Not sure which phrase is better suited right now...maybe freaking out? No, not freaking out.  Our planning for Rochester is winding down, but our excitement, faith, and hope are gearing up.We leave Monday morning, VERY EARLY, for Rochester, NY where we will be doing a VBS for children in the community surrounding Rochester Baptist Church on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  We will be closing out our trip with a day in Niagara Falls.  We are going to the Canadian side of the falls, because clearly, there is nothing better than dealing with customs and border patrol.  We thought, hey, the guys get to go to Costa Rica and get pretty stamps in their passports and go through the customs lines, so we should too, right? (Don't tell the girls that driving into Canada might not get them the pretty stamp)

Right now, you might be wondering who the "we" are.  The girls going on the trip are Hannah Jr, Brunelly, Veronica, Anna, Raven, Jacquie, Hannah Sr, Richard, and Laila.  It is just a few short hours before our last planning meeting.  Hannah is cooking for us (wooohooo!!!) and then we will "finalize" the plans.  I put that in quotes because who are we to finalize our own plans? If God has another plan for us, then we will follow Him.  Our plans are subject to change--it might freak some of us out to think about changing something at the last minute (though I don't know who that could possibly be), but we will have faith in God's plan and execute it to the best of our abilities--better than our abilities even because we have God to guide us. 

As the time for leaving is rapidly--wait, edit that--very very rapidly approaching, please pray for our team.  Do not only pray for us though.  Pray for God to prepare the children's hearts for us, prepare the children's parents, prepare the entire community for the work that He would have us do in Rochester.  Just pray however God leads you to pray, the most important thing you can do for us and our mission trip to Rochester is to just pray and keep praying!
